lace me together with drooping rainbows my mysterious angel of shadows as i fall asleep on your wings the air lifts us like liquid dreams flowing rivers of green pearls your eyes steal my soul’s breath taking the illusion of life from me am i resting underground? heaven’s twisted gates already open crossing on the crystal cloud of eternity as you hold me i become your imagery -Fawn Copyright: October 1, 2002

~wondering lost~ dirt colored tevas strike the glowing white concrete hard as she quickens her pace and walks faster into the cooled night's air of spring the full globe that rests silently in the clear night's sky illuminates her way through the darkness she does not find rest until her foot finally meets the soft dark earth she runs under green branches that temporarily block the light until she finds a clearing that stops her lost wanderings falling fast onto her knees and lifting her face to the opened starred sky she reaches her hands up towards the universe and her lips cry out...

~Oddities of Appetite~ I will eat a thunderstorm for dinner. Lightning on the side. Tornado for dessert. And rainwater to drink. Tomorrow, an earthquake. Lava sandwich for lunch. Tsunami, hailstorm, hurricane, landslide, atomic blast on rye, do'nt hold the mayo. I'm so hungry I could eat an asteroid. Or hold a comet by its tail and swallow it like a fish. -Matt Copyright: Aug 20, 2001

Dove Behold, the soft gray dove As my heart flies gently Into the cranberry-icicled sunset Prisimed, her sunny down Her delicate feathers Oh, my ethereal soul Twitching in the zephyr As the Grecian God Westward, smiles down Spreading her plumage to reveal Her rosy-pink underbelly Blending with the ruby sky Beauty and vulnerability Gliding silently overhead Tenderly she cries Quietly I cry Her voice blending with Angel's Mine falling on deaf ears In her charge I place my prayers On her martyred wings of love That God might hear my Humbled whisper As she ascends into the heavens Peacefully flying home By Violet Copyright: 8/2001 violet999@hotmail.com

fading of elixir an unforeseen moment is when a beloved muse begins to fade into the nothing it is a time of trial when the passion in word stops and becomes a tired whimper even the fire of angry word loses all its power lava that flowed without restriction into the poet's heart from wanting open veins caused the word to burn its magic onto paper slowly dissipates into the frailty of a chalky number two pencil just as an unnatural cloud hangs in the heavens masquerading as rain fire smoke lies mocking cracked earth smothering the voice words seem wasted and become void not worthy of the effort to move mind to eye to hand to torn paper a tired sigh speaks in the charcoal moonlight dim distant no gift word -Kimba Copyright: September 4, 2002
